PHOENIX RESIDENT TO GET THE “FEEL” OF NEW HIGH
TECH CHAIR
FROM MOVIE STAR
Phoenix, AZ (April 8, 2006) ---- When Kenny Mager entered the Comedy
Central ThanXgiveaway Sweepstakes several months ago, he entered the
contest like most people do, just in case. Kenny had no idea which prizes
he might win. So it came as a great surprise to him, that first, he
actually won the grand prize package, and second, one of the items in
the grand prize package was no ordinary prize. One of the grand prizes
came with a little history, a very unique story.
On Friday, March 24, 2006, Kenny was greeted with the delivery of this
prize, the RX2 5.1 Media Chair. Just what is the RX2? It’s a revolutionary
piece of home entertainment, a chair packed with a 5.1 surround sound
system within its fabric; creating sounds you hear and feel. The RX2
Media Chair takes watching movies or playing videogames to a whole new
sensory level.
On Saturday, April 8, 2006, Kenny was greeted again. Only this time
it was by Bob Rue, star of THE CONTROLLER, a feature film which was
recently shot in Arizona.
THE CONTROLLER is the story of a billionaire whose wife is abducted,
and he is forced to play a videogame where getting his wife back is
the prize. Bob Rue spent several days on set in the RX2 chair, and
became quite comfortable with it. “You better make sure your
fillings are in good before you crank this baby up!”, says Bob
Rue about his days of filming in the RX2 chair.
Bob was able to spend some time with Kenny giving him some details
of the chair, and Kenny received a framed autographed still photo
from the movie location shoot, “check between the cushions for
any loose change I might have left in there”, said a smiling
Bob Rue.
Writer-Director of THE CONTROLLER, Frank Michels, was also present
at the event. “We are here to shine a positive light onto the
often misunderstood videogame culture. So often only the worst side
of a story is shown or written about. THE CONTROLLER, a family-friendly
movie about videogames, shows how people from all walks of life can
come together and create lasting friendships by the common thread
of playing videogames.”
The event concluded with Bob Rue autographing the chair itself, and
handing Kenny Mager the “keys to the chair”, the Remote
Control, and Mager became the owner of one very unique prize.
THE CONTROLLER is an action/comedy independent motion picture slated
for release in theaters in 2007.
