VIDEOGAME WARRIORS! (January 2011)

As a new year begins, we say goodbye to a busy 2010 for The Controller. In addition to multi-International DVD deals, we are pleased to announce a US DVD deal for The Controller in 2011.

Interest in The Controller in foreign markets has been sensational and the distributors for The Controller, Moving Pictures Film & TV, worked diligently throughout 2010 to ink several new television deals, video-on-demand deals, as well as the aforementioned DVD deals. Moving Pictures Film & TV also moved forward with an innovative international marketing campaign with a title change from The Controller to Videogame Warriors.

Stars for the holidays (December 2009)

Gather one & all and join in the fun! Starz Kids & Family channel presents a Holiday performance of the award winning movie, The Controller, on December 22, 2009, 1:40pm/10:40am ET/PT (check local listings for show times).

The Controller, an action-adventure comedy, centers around a bored billionaire stuck in his "perfect" world, until his wife is suddenly abducted. Now, he is forced to play a video game and win within eight hours to get her back. In his new "surreal" world, we follow along as the billionaire joins forces with an oddly diverse team of unsung heroes known as the “Armchair Combat Professionals”.

With the endorsement of video game console giant XBOX, this live action/animated movie is the directorial debut of award winning filmmaker Frank Michels who also penned the original fiction screenplay about the world of online console video game players.

WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION (August 2009)

Maitland Primrose Film Distribution in association with Moving Pictures Film and Television acquired The Controller for worldwide distribution, and were recently very busy with international sales at Marche Du Film Festival De Cannes in Cannes, France.

The interest garnered at the Cannes Film Festival was the latest in several of the major Film Markets where The Controller is being showcased. Other Film Markets include MIPCOM (Cannes), AFM (Santa Monica), Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival), Prague International Film Festival, and Hong Kong International Film Market.

With film distribution deals for television and video broadcast rights in France, Australia, Mexico, Turkey, Thailand and the United Kingdom, and several more spanning countries in North America, Asia and Europe, The Controller is quickly becoming an international darling.
