Phoenix, AZ (October 15, 2005) ---- Cut-Scene Productions, LLC recently
wrapped shooting on the ground-breaking motion picture THE CONTROLLER.
This independent feature film is the debut of Director Frank A. Michels
who also penned this original fiction screenplay about the world of
online console videogamers.
The movie’s format, a combination of live action – and
-- videogame imagery, piqued the interest of the videogame console giant
XBOX promotions department as well as their entertainment and marketing
firm who offered THE CONTROLLER the recognizable corporate placement.
XBOX promotions also requested to bring Mountain Dew on board, considering
their videogame/soft drink alliance. Mountain Dew excitedly responded
to the opportunity to have onscreen placement in THE CONTROLLER.
Variety, the journal magazine out of New York & Hollywood which
covers the latest happenings in the entertainment news sector, recently
published in their September 23, 2005 edition news about both Mountain
Dew in “advertainment”, and THE CONTROLLER production.
This action/comedy centers around a bored billionaire, stuck in his
“perfect” world, who is suddenly forced into a game, where
getting his abducted wife back is the prize. In his new “surreal”
world, we follow along as the billionaire joins forces with an oddly
diverse team of unsung heroes to get her back.
THE CONTROLLER, which was filmed in Arizona at locations such as
the America West/US Airways Corporate Headquarters and Donovan’s
Steak & Chop House, stars Bob Rue, Tank Jones, Lolita Sahwany,
John Dobradenka, Jeff Niemoeller, Vince Reign and Carin Sprague.
This motion picture was filmed in the emerging High Definition format,
the highest-quality format delivering crystal-clear resolution in
true 1080p HD.
With its pioneering story and quirky yet likable characters, THE
CONTROLLER, slated for a 2007 release, has all the ingredients necessary
for a successful independent motion picture.
